Isabelle O'Connell new music concert

Internationally acclaimed pianist and dynamic new music advocate Isabelle O’Connell returns to SARC to perform a programme of solo works by George Crumb, Donnacha Dennehy, Ailís Ní Ríain, Karen Power and Kaija Saariaho. From field recordings of crickets in Karen Power’s deafening silence, to the ethereal sounds of George Crumb’s Makrokosmos, and the retuned piano samples in the soundtrack to Donnacha Dennehy’s Stainless Staining, this programme explores the full range of the piano and performer.
