New Vocal Music at Hugh Lane

A recital of new vocal music takes place in Dublin on 1 November.

Performed by Aylish E. Kerrigan (mezzosoprano) and Dearbhla Collins (piano), the programme includes the first performance of Hoopoe Song (2009) by Anne-Marie O'Farrell, April Awake (2004) by Elaine Agnew, Seóirse Bodley's song cycle A Passionate Love (1985), Aloys Fleischmann's Tides (1973) and Das Buch der hängenden Gärten, Opus 15 by Arnold Schoenberg.

Aylish Kerrigan will repeat most of this programme in a concert at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music Bell Hall in Wuhan, China on 20 November, made possible by the support of Culture Ireland.

Sundays at Noon series, Dublin City Gallery, The Hugh Lane, Sunday 1 November 2009, 12.00noon. Admission free.
