New Vocal Music at Hugh Lane
A recital of new vocal music takes place in Dublin on 1 November. Performed by Aylish E. Kerrigan (mezzosoprano) and Dearbhla Collins (piano), the programme includes the first performance of Hoopoe Song (2009) by Anne-Marie O'Farrell, April Awake (2004) by Elaine Agnew, Seóirse Bodley's song cycle A Passionate Love (1985), Aloys Fleischmann's Tides (1973) and Das Buch der hängenden Gärten, Opus 15 by Arnold Schoenberg. Aylish Kerrigan will repeat most of this programme in a concert at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music Bell Hall in Wuhan, China on 20 November, made possible by the support of Culture Ireland.
