New Music for New Pianos

TCD's Node Ensemble plays New Music for New Pianos on Tuesday April 7.

The Node Ensemble is Trinity College Department of Music's contemporary music group and is devoted to new music coming out of Trinity's vibrant composition scene.

This year's concert, with soloist Deborah Henry and conductor David Coonan, will feature music by Hannah Carr, Elis Czerniak, Amanda Feery, Sam Kavanagh, Paul McGuire, Barry O'Halpin and Sean Reed, who are all undergraduate and postgraduate students of composer and Crash Ensemble Artistic Director Donnacha Dennehy. These works will be interspersed with selections from John Cage's Sonatas and Interludes for prepared piano.
