New Dublin Voices November Concerts

New Dublin Voices explores 'Something Beginning with B'.

For their winter concerts on 21, 22 and 28 November, the international award-winning choir New Dublin Voices under their conductor Bernie Sherlock is doing just that: everything in the concert begins with 'B'.

What could have been a constraint in fact proved liberating. NDV burrowed deeply into all that 'B' has to offer and came up with a wonderful programme embracing the new (the 2008 surround-sound effect of Sea Swell by Irish composer Enda Bates)—and old (madrigals by Bennet in the 16th century)—and the familiar (Brahms, Bartók, Britten and Bernstein) as well as the excitingly obscure: an incredible, unforgettable piece by one Wolfram Buchenberg, which will receive its Irish premiere. And to round things off, some Beatles, some Barbershop and The Barber of Seville.

'B' there!

Saturday 21st November, 8.00pm - St Ann's Church, Dawson Street, Dublin 2.
Sunday 22nd November, 7.00pm - Carlingford Heritage Centre, Louth.
Saturday 28th November, 8.00pm - St Augustine's Church, Galway.
