NCC Performs Contemporary Choral Music

National Chamber Choir

Works by three Irish composers feature in the NCC's upcoming concerts.

With the title One Day Fine, the programme explores Ireland's influence in choral music, from the early anonymous collection of The Dublin Troper, through to the much-loved music of C.V. Stanford and Arnold Bax, together with work by some of Ireland's leading contemporary composers.

The concert, which is conducted by the NCC's artistic director, Paul Hillier, includes The Beloved and her Lover by Ian Wilson, One Day Fine by Kevin Volans and Andrew Hamilton's Everything is Ridiculous.

National Chamber Choir of Ireland, conductor Paul Hillier.
The Great Hall, Queens University Belfast, Tuesday 1 December, 8.00pm. National Gallery of Ireland, Merrion Square, Dublin 2, Thursday 3 December 6.30pm.

Tickets (Belfast) £12/£10. Tickets (Dublin) €14/€12. Booking 353 (0)1-700 5665 (no booking fee) or by email at national.chamber.choir@dcu.ie
