Hamilton Choral Piece Published

Andrew Hamilton
Andrew Hamilton

A choral work by Andrew Hamilton is being published in Denmark.

His piece, Everything is Ridiculous (2009), was premiered by the National Chamber Choir under conductor Paul Hillier in May this year. Commissioned by the choir together with the Cork International Choral Festival with funds provided by the Arts Council, the work is now being issued by Theatre of Voices Edition.

This is a new, international publishing initiative founded by, and under the artistic leadership, of Hillier himself. The catalogue is distributed worldwide and each publication is prepared carefully to meet the standards of professional choir singers and conductors of the 21st century.

A further performance of Everything is Ridiculous by the Arts Nova ensemble is scheduled for 11 October in Copenhagen, again conducted by Hillier, in a programme entitled The Natural World, which also includes Gerald Barry’s The Coming of Winter.
