National Chamber Choir at the National Gallery

A new work by Andrew Hamilton is performed by the National Chamber Choir (NCC) on 16 July.

The work, Everything is Ridiculous, is featured in the NCC's concert, From the Sublime to the Ridiculous, alongside pieces by Argentinian-American composer Ezequiel Viñao, Gavin Bryars, Howard Skempton and George McFarren. The concert is conducted by the choir's artistic director, Paul Hillier.

Commissioned jointly by the National Chamber Choir and the Cork International Choral Festival, Andrew Hamilton's Everything is Ridiculous was first performed at the 2009 Cork International Choral Festival in May.

The concert takes place at the National Gallery of Ireland, Merrion Square, Dublin 2 on 16 July 2009 at 6.30pm. Tickets cost €14 / €12 (conc) and are available from 01 7005665. For further information on the concert, please see www.nationalchamberchoir.com.
