Fidelio Trio Announce Debut Tour of China The Fidelio Trio is to undertake a six-concert tour of China in June. The ensemble's first performances in the country will include a mixed programme of music by Irish and British composers as well as trios by Mozart and Ravel. Fidelio Trio regulars Darragh Morgan (violin) and Mary Dullea (piano) will be joined by cellist Deirdre Cooper, substituting for an indisposed Robin Michael, on the tour, which begins on Friday 5 June at Nankai University, Tianjin and concludes with a performance in Beijing on Sunday 14 June. The ensemble will also give concerts in Hangzhou, Shanghai and Dalian, where they will also be involved in workshops with local musicians. Pieces to be played during the tour include Raymond Deane's Embers, Deirdre Gribbin's How to Make the Water Sound, an arrangement of Joe Zwainful's Birdland by Frank Lyons, and First Last Words by Ian Wilson.
