Fennessy Premiere for Ensemble Modern

David Fennessy
David Fennessy

A new work by David Fennessy is to be premiered by Ensemble Modern.

As part of a project called "into..." co-funded by the Siemens Arts Program and the Goethe Institute, Fennessy, together with five other composers—including Heiner Goebbels, Benedict Mason and Unsuk Chin—visited the Pearl River Delta in China. The resulting work, 13 factories, will be premiered by Ensemble Modern in Berlin on 9th October and they will also perform it in Frankfurt on the 10th.

The week prior to that sees a performance of Fennessy’s The Room is the Resonator for cello and electronics in the London Sinfonietta's Sonic Explorations series at Kings Place, London on 2 October.
