         
CMC Tribute on RTÉ lyric fm
A special tribute to the Contemporary Music Centre will be broadcast on RTÉ lyric fm on 8 November. new music::new Ireland, a special edition of the new music programme, Nova, salutes the work of CMC as it presents two concerts of contemporary Irish music in London. As the presenter, Bernard Clarke, says: 'Despite the recession, despite the recording industry's global meltdown, the Contemporary Music Centre in Dublin continues in the vanguard, continues to reach new heights. CMC is presenting new music::new Ireland, two concerts exploring contemporary Irish music for violin and piano, in King's Place, London, in October and November. Over the years the CMC has also managed to release eight well-filled discs of music from contemporary Irish composers.
