World Premiere of Tundra
A new work by Ian Wilson is premiered on 7 September in Dublin. Tundra, a new multi-media dance work by Anne Gilpin and Ian Wilson, is performed during the opening weekend of this year's Dublin Fringe Festival in The Empty Space, Smock Alley, Exchange Street Lower, Temple Bar at 9.15pm. Lasting 42 minutes, the work is inspired by ideas of landscape and solitude and has a visceral electro-acoustic score (Wilson's first), which is performed live by trumpeter Mark O'Keeffe. Anne Gilpin is the dancer and choreographer and has also made the images for the live video projection. The lighting design is by Conleth White. A CD of the music for Tundra has recently been released and is available from the CMC shop. For further information, please see our calendar. Posted: 3 September 2008
