The Contemporary Music Centre continues its Salon Series with a performance by Mary Dullea on 5 November.

Irish pianist Mary Dullea has built an impressive reputation as a performer and commissioner of new music. She has performed throughout Ireland, England, Europe, USA, Hong Kong and South Africa. She broadcasts regularly for BBC Radio 3 and is on the teaching staff of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Performance at the University of Ulster, focusing on the use of the inside of the piano.

Ms. Dullea is performing works by Ed Bennett, Frank Lyons and Jennifer Walshe.

The Salon Series is designed to introduce the newcomer to contemporary music as well as capture the interest of those already familiar with it. Each performance takes place in an informal atmosphere in which the composers and performers invite questions and feedback from the audience.

The series began on 15 October with a performance by soprano Sylvia O'Brien accompanied by composer Seóirse Bodley on the piano. and concludes with Ensemble ICC, the performance wing of the Irish Composers' Collective, on 26 November 2008.
