The programme for their tour includes the premiere of Elliptic Transformations by Lazzarini, a piece for large guitar ensemble including Contrabass Guitars. The tour begins in Galway on 7 August and travels to Shannon, Ennis, Cork Castlebar and Naas, finishing in the National Concert Hall on 13 August. The programme also features music by Debussy and Mozart and arrangements of popular songs by Neil Young and Björk.

A 30-piece guitar ensemble founded by Brendan Walsh in 2003, the Maynooth Guitar Orchestra is the only regularly performing, large guitar ensemble in Ireland. They perform music by contemporary Irish composers such as Martin O'Leary and Victor Lazzarini, pop and rock musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, and arrangements of classical pieces.
