The premiere of a new work by John Kinsella takes place in the National Concert Hall, Dublin on 4 April.

The piece, Cúchulainn and Ferdia – Duel at the Ford, features as part of a gala concert to mark the 60th anniversary of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra. The concert includes performances of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, and Strauss’s Dance of the Seven of the Seven Veils and the final scene from Salomé.

Among those performing with the orchestra are British soprano Susan Bullock and AXA Dublin International Piano Competition winner, Antti Siirala.
