'Early-bird' registration for this year's International Computer Music Conference has been extended until 11 July.

Hosted by Sonorities, the Queen's University, Belfast-based electronic and electro-acoustic music festival, the 2008 conference will take place during 24-29 August.

With a theme this year of 'Roots/Routes', the conference will explore notions of placement and displacement in the context of music practice. Papers will be given in the wider context of a programme that also includes performances, workshops, panel sessions and social events.

Concerts during the event will be curated by Mark Applebaum, Nicolas Collins, George E Lewis, Adrian Moore, Joel Ryan, Elliott Sharp, Simon Waters and Pamela Z.
