Dennehy Concerts in York

Donnacha Dennehy
Donnacha Dennehy

Two concerts featuring Donnacha Dennehy's music take place at the University of York on 29 February.

The concerts, organised by the University of York music department, will be held at the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall. A lunchtime concert features a performance of Begobs II and IV for solo piano at 1 pm, followed by two of the composer's ensemble works, Glamour Sleeper and Junk Box Fraud at 7.30 pm.

The Chimera Ensemble, the university’s new music group, will perform all the music. They will also perform Grisey’s Partiels, a piece which has influenced Dennehy’s own work, along with a number of premieres of new work by students from the university.

For further information, please see our calendar or visit www.yorkconcerts.co.uk.
