Foundation for Contemporary Arts
Jennifer Walshe has been awarded a grant by the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, New York. Ten grants of $25,000 each, a total of $250,000, were awarded to artists in the United States and abroad. Founded and guided by artists, the Foundation’s mission is to encourage, sponsor, and promote innovative work in the arts created and presented by individuals, groups, and organisations. Irish composer Jennifer Walshe was awarded one of the music grants. Awards were also made in the areas of dance, theatre/performance art, poetry and the visual arts.
