Nocturnes Project 2007

French photographer Carl Cordonnier is planning a collaborative project linking music and photography.

The Nocturnes project will involve European artists in an interdisciplinary collaboration. The aim is to develop an intercultural dialogue, raising issues of diversity in Europe by looking at the nights lived by young homeless, young workers and young students in four European cities: Cork, Lille, Katowice, Salzbourg.

A photographic exhibition will present night portraits of these young people. A DVD will present the photographic films linking music and photography. A web site will follow the process of the project and involve members of the public in the process. A concert will be organised in each European city involved in the projet with performances of the musical elements of the project.

Carl Cordonnier is now seeking Irish composers who would be interested in participating in this international project. For further details, please contact dailylife@wanadoo.fr.
