Music by Michael McGlynn will be performed in New York in April.

Chanticleer will perform Michael McGlynn's specially commissioned Agnus Dei in April. Michael was one of five international composers chosen to contribute a movement to And on Earth, Peace: A Chanticleer Mass, the others being Shulamit Ran, Douglas J. Cuomo, Kamran Ince and Ivan Moody. The entire Mass will be released on the Teldec label in the same month.

Other recent performances include the St. Francis: Cantata, which was performed at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in early March. This work, set for orchestra, tenor solo and SSA choir was commissioned by Louvain 400 and performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Cór na nÓg and Robin Trichler.

Agnus Dei will be performed in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art on 26 April 2007. See Calendar for details.
