Making Overtures

Music Network is organising a course for performers on how to progress their performance career.

This five-day course in self-promotion and self-management is aimed at Irish and Ireland-based professional musicians and composers working in all genres of music.

The course will include modules addressing promoting to the media, promoting to music promoters, advice on sources of funding and support available to professional musicians, expert advice on legal issues and taxation as well as a host of other relevant issues.

The number of places available on this course has been limited to 20 but Music Network has also allocated a further two scholarship places for two music students or recent graduates wishing to pursue a career in performance.

The course runs from Monday 18 to Friday 22 June 2007 in the Coach House, Dublin Castle. The course fee is €150 (includes tuition, lunch & light refreshments for 5 days).

For further information and booking forms, please contact: Aisling Roche, Promoters & Audience Development Manager Tel: 01 6719429 Email: promoters@musicnetwork.ie.
