Journal of Music in Ireland

JMI cover

The January - February issue of the Journal of Music in Ireland is now available.

The JMI (Journal of Music in Ireland) is a bi-monthly magazine with articles, reviews and debate on contemporary, classical, jazz and traditional music in Ireland.

In this issue, Benjamin Dwyer speaks to double-bassist and composer Barry Guy. John McLachlan talks about the new generation of Irish composers, and Bob Gilmore discusses the 2007 RTÉ Living Music Festival, which focuses on the music of John Adams.

CDs reviewed include David Quigley's Piano Music from Northern Ireland and Roger Doyle's Baby Grand, both of which are available in our CD Shop.

JMI also includes a two-month guide to concerts, festivals, sessions, talks and seminars, as well as comprehensive listings of new CDs, DVDs, books and scores.

For more information, email editor@thejmi.com or visit www.thejmi.com.
