Ealaín ar Oileán 2007

Rachel Holstead will participate in an Irish language arts conference in the Aran Islands this May.

'Ealaín ar Oileán' is a conference for artists from the Gaeltacht and other Irish-speaking artists. The aim of the conference is to celebrate the arts and generate discussion among artists on issues relating to the various art forms.

Sculptor Clíodna Cussen, composer Rachel Holstead, choreographer Ríonach Ní Néill, visual artist Ceara Conway and writers Liam Mac Cóil, Alan Titley, Dara Ó Conaola and Jackie Mac Donncha will take part in the lectures and exhibitions over the weekend.

The conference run from Friday 25 May to Sunday 27 May in Áras Éanna, Inis Oírr. The events will all be conducted through Irish, and all are welcome. Further information is available from 087-758 2636.
