Festival of World Cultures 2007

The Festival of World Cultures is currently programming its 2007 event.

The Festival of World Cultures is an annual international arts and culture festival that takes place in Dun Laoghaire each summer. The Festival programme focuses on the representation of innovative and developing artistic practice from around the world - the 2006 festival featured artists from over 50 countries in 160 events over the course of one weekend.

This year's Festival takes place in late August and hopes to include performances across all art forms. The programme is currently being put together, and enquiries are welcome from artists interested in participating. With a focus on cultures and traditions from around the world, this year in particular the Festival will concentrate on music, dance and street theatre.

The Festival runs from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 August at various venues in Dun Laoghaire town. For further information please contact fwc@dlrcoco.ie or call 01-271 9510.
