Greg Felton is a young composer, performer and teacher on the Jazz Performance Degree course in Newpark Music Centre.

He has been commissioned by RTÉ to write a 20-minute piece for the RTÉ Living Music Festival in February to be performed by the group White Rocket.

White Rocket, a trio consisting of US based Jacob Wick on trumpet, Greg Felton on piano and Sean Carpio on drums, play original contemporary improvised music, and their performances last year were listed by the Irish Times as one of the jazz highlights of 2006. White Rocket is due to be featured on RTÉ's The View in February and will also be perfoming at an international jazz festival in Mexico City this March.
