The Cutting Edge
Premieres by Ed Bennett and Andrew Hamilton feature in the final concerts of BMIC’s Cutting Edge concert series. Two new works by Ed Bennett and a new version of Frank O’Hara on the Phone Piece by Andrew Hamilton will be heard for the first time in the final two concerts in this year’s Cutting Edge concert series in London on 13 December. The concerts are promoted by CMC’s British counterparts, the British Music Information Centre, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Two works by Donnacha Dennehy (Glamour Sleeper and Paddy) will also be heard in performances by Bennett’s own ensemble, decibel (at 7pm) and by the contemporary music collective Noszferatu (8.45pm) at The Warehouse, Threed Street, London SE1. BBC Radio 3 will record both concerts for later broadcast. For more information, please see our calendar or visit www.bmic.co.uk. Posted: 30 November 2007
