Concorde to Celebrate Irish Composers in Spain
Concorde performs at the Sincronic Festival, Spain on 28 October. The ensemble will play a mixed programme of music by Irish and Catalan composers in Lleida, Spain as part of the Sincronic Festival. Launched in 2006, the Sincronic Festival takes place in the current Capital of Catalan Culture and local composers included in the Concorde programme are Joaquin Homs and Malhao Pardo. Featured Irish composers are James Wilson (Sonatina), Deirdre McKay (Umber Sepia), Gráinne Mulvey (agglomeration), Ed Bennett (Breath), Stephen Gardner (Trane) and Concorde founder Jane O’Leary (something there).
