CMC Funding News The Contemporary Music Centre has received funding from The Heritage Council. The Heritage Council award of €3,000 is to enable the Centre to continue its project to transfer an important sub-collection of sound recordings from older formats such as quarter-inch reel and cassette onto CD and computer hard drive. Phase 1 of this project began last year and resulted in a number of recordings transferred from analogue to digital formats, ensuring their long-term preservation and making them accessible to users of the Centre.
