CMC Board Changes

CMC is very pleased to welcome Clíona Doris as a new member of the CMC board of directors.

She takes over from Dr Ellen Hazelkorn, Head of Applied Arts, DIT, who has retired from CMC’s board having served for eight years. The board and staff wish to record their sincere thanks for her time, energy and outstanding commitment to the cause of new music during this time.

One of Ireland’s leading concert harpists, Clíona has extensive experience as a soloist and chamber musician and has performed throughout Ireland, Britain, Europe and the United States. A graduate of Queen's University, Belfast and Indiana University, Bloomington, USA, she studied with the acclaimed harpist, Susann McDonald, graduating with a DMus Degree in Harp Performance and Music Literature in 1997.

An active exponent of contemporary music, she has recorded and premiered solo and chamber works by several Irish composers. She is currently Head of Orchestral Studies at DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, Dublin.
