The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon has announced the details of their 2007 award schemes.

Awards are available for travel and training, projects for the development and performance of new works or for one-off projects which do not necessarily involve new works, commissions and bursaries to allow the composer to take some time from their regular activities and focus on their works.

The Banff Residency provides an opportunity for the composer to interact with other artists internationally, while the Performance and Touring Award assists the performance of concerts within Ireland. The recording scheme has been reintroduced and is now administered by Music Network on behalf of the Arts Council. Many of these schemes now have two application deadlines each year.
