This year's West Cork Chamber Music Festival hosts the premieres of several new works.

Among them is the world premiere of Stephen Gardner's new work for trumpet and tape and John Gibson's IKON - Meditations for String Quartet.

Dmitri Smirnov's Tribute to Dmitri Shostakovich, a co-commission with Cheltenham Festival, will be premiered by the RTÉ Vanbrugh Quartet. Also performing during the week are flautist Sharon Bezaly, viola player Kim Kashkashian, the T'ang Quartet, Carducci Quartet, violinist Patrycja Piekutowska and many more.
