The Contemporary Music Centre presents the RIAM Percussion Ensemble playing in St Stephen’s Green Park in Dublin this week.

Following the success of last summer’s outdoor lunchtime concert of new music in Dublin’s main city centre park, CMC is again working with the Office of Public Works to surprise office workers and tourists with something a little different as they visit the gardens at lunchtime. The performance takes place as part of the Summerfest programme which brings music of all kinds, talks, historic walks, children’s activities and other events to the parks from June to the end of August.

The Royal Irish Academy of Music’s Percussion Ensemble (Gary Grant, Oisín Kennedy, Roger Moffatt, Maeve O'Hara, Chris Styn and director Richard O’Donnell) performs at the bandstand in St Stephen’s Green, Dublin, from 12.00 to 1.00 pm on Saturday, 8 July 2006.
