SMI Conference 2007

The Society for Musicology in Ireland will hold its annual conference next May.

Proposals for 20-minute papers on any music-related topic should be submitted via e-mail to Dr Kerry Houston kerry.houston@dit.ie by Friday 19 January 2007. Proposals should be in the form of a 250-word abstract.

Proposals for lecture recitals will also be considered (30 minutes), as will proposals for round-table discussions. Post-graduate and under-graduate students will be offered the opportunity to display their work in poster sessions. Those interested should contact Dr Houston by 30 March 2007 with their proposal.

The conference will take place at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama from 10-12 May 2007. The conference programme and information on accommodation and registration will be available at www.musicologyireland.com.
