A documentary based around music by Vincent Kennedy will be broadcast on 9 January.

RTÉ Radio 1's new series, Flux, begins 2006 with the programme using Vincent Kennedy's 10-movement work, The Hook - A Place and a people. This work was commissioned by Wexford County Council under the Per Cent for Art Scheme and, according to the county’s Arts Department, ‘the response to this astounding work from audiences has been brilliant’.

The program contains music and interviews with the composer and performers. It captures the immediate responses of some of the more than 3000 people who heard the music in its five performances in 2005.

'Flux' is produced by Ronan Kelly and goes on air at 8.00 pm on Monday 9 January.
