May-June JMI

The May-June issue of the Journal of Music in Ireland is now available.

In this latest issue, John McLachlan reviews the 2006 Sligo New Music Festival, while Bob Gilmore interviews composer Irish composer Ailís Ní Ríain.

Composer Jürgen Simpson writes about the RTÉ Living Music Festival, which featured Steve Reich. Reviews of concerts by Trihornophone and the Dublin Guitar Quartet are included, together with the Mostly Modern and i-and-e festivals and DU Music Society's Node III concert.

JMI also includes a two-month guide to concerts, festivals, sessions, talks and seminars, as well as comprehensive listings of new CDs, DVDs, books and scores.
