Brian Irvine wins British Composer Award
Brian Irvine has won a British Composer Award in the Stage Works category for his opera The Tailor’s Daughter. This children’s opera was commissioned and performed by Welsh National Opera in 2005. The awards are run by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters in association with BBC Radio 3. The winners of this year's British Academy Awards were announced at the Hayward Gallery, London, on Friday 24 November. Posted: 1 December 2006
