Nicola Straffelini, who teaches composition in Verona, will be represented by Arabesco for flute, bass clarinet and piano. Irish composer Deirdre McKay will also be featured, with performances of her tribute to Beckett, between, and her ensemble piece Umber Sepia, which creates a beautiful under-water atmosphere. Concorde members performing these works are Jane O'Leary (piano), Madeleine Staunton (flute), Paul Roe (clarinet), Elaine Clark (violin) and David James (cello), with Dermot Dunne as conductor.
