CMC’s latest CD, Contemporary Music from Ireland Volume Six, was launched on Wednesday, 18 October.

Eleven Irish composers are represented on the disk with works written in the last five years. Also featured are some of Ireland’s leading performers in an exciting compilation that offers a snapshot of what is happening in new music right now.

The CD was launched by Arts Council music policy specialist, Fergus Sheil.

The CD will be distributed internationally to radio stations, festivals, concert promoters, performers and libraries to raise the profile of Irish composers internationally.
