Ed Bennett Premieres and Performances

Premieres of two new works by Ed Bennett take place in November and December.

Shrigley, Ed Bennett's recent work for large ensemble, will be premiered by Orkest de Ereprijs on Saturday 25 November in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands and DO NOT BEND for alto saxophone and large ensemble will be premiered by Neil McGovern (sax) and the Thallein Ensemble conducted by Nicholaus Cleobury in Birmingham on Friday 1 December. These premieres follow two performances with his ensemble 'decibel' in Birmingham and Oxford and the Irish premiere of My Broken Machines by the Crash Ensemble in Dublin on Friday 10 November.

His orchestral work Ausland will be featured in the final of the Tactus Composers' Forum with the National Orchestra of Belgium in Brussels between 29 November and 2 December. This work will also feature alongside his work all of this used to be trees for orchestra and electronic sound in a performance by a concert given by the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday, 16 January as part of RTÉ's Horizons contemporary music series.
