Saxophone Quartet in Galway

Amstel Saxophone Quartet

The Amstel Saxophone Quartet includes a work by Ian Wilson in their Galway concert.

This versatile quartet from the Netherlands is coming to Galway to perform a concert as part of the 24th Music for Galway season on Wednesday, 2 March in the Aula Maxima, NUI Galway, at 8.00pm.

At this IMRO sponsored event they will be performing contemporary music including works by Philip Glass, Peteris Vasks, and Ian Wilson’s Atlantica.

The programme also features adaptations and arrangements specially made for the group.

As part of the Contemporary Music Centre’s ‘Meet the Composer’ scheme, Ian Wilson will be present to talk about his work.
