Music Network has launched an online directory of music teachers and schools of music in Ireland.

Created in response to continuing demand and the most comprehensive source of such information in the country, www.learnmusic.info is free to use, interactive and searchable by instrument, genre and county.

The directory includes more than 500 entries from the 32 counties and contains information on 73 instruments ranging from piano and violin to Tibetan singing bowls and African drums.

“Music Network had been fielding countless calls over the last few years from those seeking vocal and instrumental tuition so the need for this directory became increasingly apparent to us,” says Music Network's Information Service Manager, Séamus O'Reilly.

“Over the last 18 months, we actively sought out those teachers and schools of music who wished to be included in this directory. Since the service is free for teachers and free to those looking for teachers, we hope that it will become a one-stop shop for both teachers and music students in Ireland.”
