Multimedia Collaboration Comes to Cork

lighthouse

A multimedia exhibition on the theme of Morse code, in which the Contemporary Music Centre was a collaborator, comes to Cork this month.

EnCODEd combines large-scale drawings and a sound installation to revive and reinvent Morse code.

The exhibition opens in the West Cork Arts Centre, Skibbereen, on Saturday 18 June, with an introduction by composer Donal Siggins and visual artist Brian Fay.

The exhibition was shown in the Context Gallery, Derry, at the end of 2004, and again in the Project Arts Centre, Dublin in February 2005. It will run in West Cork until 16 July, from 10.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Saturday.

Further information: Karen Hennessy, Promotion Manager, The Contemporary Music Centre. Tel: 01 - 673 1922 email: khennessy@cmc.ie
