Two Residencies for Holstead
Rachel Holstead has been awarded two residencies, both of which are funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, to take place over the coming year. For the first of these residencies, Rachel will spend six weeks at the MacDowell Colony beginning in October 2005, while the Banff residency will involve two months in the Leighton Studios early in 2006. Upcoming commissions include a work for the Irish Baroque Orchestra with fiddler Gerry O’Connor, funded by Louth County Council as part of the Ardee Baroque Festival, and a large-scale work to celebrate the memory of Tom Crean.
