Composer John McLachlan is featured in Ensemble Nordlys’ tour of Ireland this month.

Ensemble Nordlys can be heard in the Coach House, Dublin Castle on Wednesday 2 November when they will give the first performance of John McLachlan’s The Metal Pig, commissioned by Music Network with financial assistance from the Arts Council.

The concert will also include The Shadow by Polish composer Rafal Augustyn and works by Brahms, Schumann, Gade and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. The Metal Pig and The Shadow take their inspiration from Hans Christian Andersen fairytales.

Music Network tours are grant-aided by the Arts Council and presented in association with The Irish Times and RTÉ lyricfm.
