A one-day symposium takes place as part of the Darklight Film Festival in Dublin shortly.

The symposium will address issues such as creative common licensing, citizen journalism, podcasting, blogging, ad hoc networks, alternative broadcasting technologies and new markets for wireless content/culture.

The sessions will be presented by internationally-known speakers and will include panel discussions and workshops.

The Darklight festival is also host to Ireland’s first Darklight Pocket Festival, a showcase of the finalist entries in the Nokia/Darklight mobile cinema competition to bring digital film and animation to the mobile phone.
