CMC CD4 Goes Worldwide!

Contemporary Music from Ireland Volume 4 cover

In the first weeks of 2005, over 1,500 copies of CMC’s latest CD have been distributed worldwide.

Copies of Contemporary Music from Ireland Volume 4 have been sent to some 460 members of the media (broadcasters, music journalists and PR/marketing staff) in Ireland and overseas.

Over 200 performers, 100 conductors and 250 concert promoters internationally have also received copies. Some 40 official bodies (music and cultural organizations and other representative bodies) have been included in the mailings as well.

A follow-up process by CMC will now ensure that the CDs have reached the right people and, particularly in the case of radio stations, ensure that broadcasts ensue.

A primary function of the series is to achieve radio play and to raise the profile of Irish composers with performers and promoters. However it is also important that copies are available to the general public. ‘Reader Offers’ in magazines and newspapers have been found to be very effective bringing new clients into contact with the Centre and these will appear in a number of general-interest publications in the coming months.

The earlier releases in the series, Contemporary Music from Ireland Volume Two and Volume Three are still available. Volume One is now out of stock, but work is starting already on choosing tracks for Volume Five.
