The deadline for entry for the CMC Award at Feis Ceoil 2006 is Wednesday 15 December.

The Contemporary Irish Music Cup and monetary prize of 100, sponsored by the Contemporary Music Centre, will be awarded for the best solo, duo or ensemble performance of Irish contemporary music.

Entry to the competition is open to any unaccompanied solo performer, duo or group of performers, up to a maximum of eight instrumentalists and/or vocalists. Entrants must perform two contrasting works or movements by a living Irish composer(s) or written since 1950, taken from the library catalogue of the Contemporary Music Centre.

If you are able to come to Dublin you can browse through all of the scores and listen to recordings of many of them in our library. If a visit in person is not possible we can send out inspection scores and our library staff will be happy to help you by phone or email.
