Agnew and the ICO

Shannon International Festival image

The Irish Chamber Orchestra premieres a new work by Elaine Agnew this month.

It will be performed as part of the MBNA Shannon International Festival on Friday 21 July at 7.30pm in St Mary's Cathedral, Limerick.

The work, a double violin concerto with the title, Sixth of January: The Night of the Big Wind will be conducted by Nicholas McGegan with soloists Nicola Sweeney and André Swanepoel.

Details of the concert, which also includes a performance of John Kinsella's Ninth Symphony, can be found on the web site of the Irish Chamber Orchestra.
