The Contemporary Music Centre commissions composer interviews, articles on Irish contemporary music and a wide range of news reports for our web site (www.cmc.ie) and for New Music News, which is published three times a year.

We maintain a panel of potential contributors who are commissioned on a freelance fee basis, to write on specific topics for these publications. Journalists, writers, researchers, musicians and anyone with a lively interest in new music are invited to apply. Contributors within and outside Ireland will be considered.

Contributors must:

• be well-informed about Irish contemporary music;
• have prior experience of writing on classical music;
• be able to write in a simple and clear style, to a deadline;
• be able to submit text by email, copy-edited to CMC’s house style.
