Trumpeters Needed!

Scotland's leading international music theatre company, Theatre Cryptic, is looking for six trumpeters to perform alongside Irish trumpeter Mark O'Keeffe in their production Apocalypse as part of the Cork 2005 celebrations.

If you would like to be part of Apocalypse, the organizers say, perform onstage from memory, be choreographed as part of a unique ensemble, and are physically fit and open to stage direction, then this work could be for you, and guarantees fun. The trumpeters should be male and be professional or semi-professional players. Rehearsals and performances will be in Cork between 29 March and 16 April 2005.

The closing date for applications, which should include a CV and photo, is Friday 17 September 2004. Auditions take place on Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 October 2004. Candidates will be required to play a 3- to 4-minute solo contemporary trumpet work of their choice.

For further information and to submit an application contact Nicola Swanton, Cork 2005, Civic Trust House, 50 Pope’s Quay, Cork.
Tel. +353-(0)21-455 2005 or nicolaswanton@cork2005.ie
