The Contemporary Music Centre has appointed a new assistant in its library department.

We are very pleased to welcome Niamh Tumelty to her new full-time job as Music Library Assistant. Niamh has been working with us part-time since August of last year so she is already known to many library users. A graduate of NUI Maynooth where she gained an honours BA in music and German, she went on to undertake an honours H Dip in Education at Trinity College Dublin and has just completed an M Phil in the same university.

She replaces Anne-Marie Casey, who has left CMC after nearly five years to undertake a two-year postgraduate diploma in psychology. Anne-Marie will be much missed by all CMC’s staff and clients and we wish her well in her future career in healthcare, which will no doubt involve music in some capacity. With the psychological insights gained from working closely with composers for so long, we know she’ll make a success of it!
